I LOVED this book. It felt like poetry. Lyrical, descriptive passages made me see the settings and feel the emotions. I could see Pi and his life. And what a life it was. The beginning of the book is a bit of a slow start as I'm not particularly inclined to caring about sloths or other zoological facts. But, I was interested in the debate on zoos and animal care. There were so many interesting points made in this book, especially about philosophy and survival. The first two parts were very telling, and enjoyable, however, it was not what I expected at all and the ending threw me off quite a bit.
