This is probably one of the strangest and fascinating novels I have read in a while. A little bit of Gaiman and a little bit of King but all its own, author Scott Hawkins weaves this incredibly interesting world full of secrets and mysteries that we only ever dip our toes in. If I had one criticism, it would have to be that we never really delved deeper into the world. I would love to see Hawkins write something else using the elements of this world he created of gods and animals and people who ...more
