Dec 2020 update:

Going back and rereading this after being caught up in the series is such a different feeling, catching the hints and reading between the lines. Knowing the characters and the why. An insider rather then an outsider.

Also I never realized that this reread was almost 5 years later.

Edit: I reread this one this year with my hubby. And I still love it.

I could not put this book down! It was so imaginative. The world the author built was both beautiful and full of indescribable peril. I'm excited to start book 2 of the series. ...more
