#furiouslyhappy is a fantastic mantra for those of us who struggle with depression and anxiety issues. This book made me laugh hysterically out loud so often that my kids kept asking me if I was okay.

"I can't even tell myself why I am this way. I just know that its how I'm made...and maybe one day someone will crack open this head of mine and find out what's wrong in there...and also what is right.
Because its both."

Not everything was totally my type of humor, but that's okay because this book ...more

I just can't find anything funny about horrible things like mental illness - sorry! I never laughed at all, but I did suffer though to the end - wish I have followed my reading buddy Lynne's 50 page rule! I was particularly disgusted by her continual reference to human and animal genitalia and bodily excretions turned me off to her trials and tribulations !

I would like to hear from Victor and Hailey about living with her! ...more

Shelves: non-fiction, audiobook, memoir, books-i-own, humor

I had saved this audiobook for vacation to listen on the long drive and it did not disappoint. This was more serious than her first book since it focuses on her mental illness but I still liked it and had plenty of laugh out loud moments. I also felt that I learned more about people suffering from different kinds of mental illness.

This book made me laugh out loud more times than I can count. But being funny isn't all there is to this book. It's also about the realities of mental illness, acceptance of the struggles and flaws we see in other people and most of all the need for self acceptance and self care. Loved it! ...more
