Fanfuckingtastic!!!!! Absolutely brilliant! Mind-blowing, edge of your seat intense. I devoured this book. The characters were incredible...especially Anna and Cas. Omg I loved it. MUST. GET. SEQUEL. NOW!!!

First thoughts: Wasn't quite as good as I thought it would be.
I love the cover of this book and you would think that it might be a bit more scary than it actually was and I think that is one thing that kept me from giving it a higher rating. Not only that as I did have a few other hang ups.
So Cas is a teenage ghost buster (he hates that term), he kills ghost for a living and people email him from all over with their ghost stories. He only kills those ghost who kill people and he gets a note with ...more

Oh. My. God.
This book is amazing.
Here's what I loved:
Cas: I fell in love with him. It's nice to see a man who cares about protecting those around him and is tough. I love how Blake does an amazing job showing his vulnerable side to readers.
His parents: I love a YA novel with a parent present. It's a nice variation from absentee parents.
Thomas: I love Thomas' progression through the novel
Anna: is amazing. I love her style, compassion, and the strength she has both physical and mental.

This was an incredible book, very compelling. It's hard to write a review, you'll just have to read it for yourself.

One of those books that is a total win when it comes to both title and cover illustration. So often the covers just feel meh on YA paranormals--this one caught me from the get go.
Story is decent YA paranormal fantasy--chock full of ghosts and killings and gruesomeness. Some coarse language in the story, but it seems to fit the story rather than be thrown in gratuitously. Some likable characters and plenty of action. Plus a few Ghostbuster jokes in there.

I'm only a few chapters in, but my jaw dropped when I discovered the setting was Thunder Bay, Ontario. Thunder Bay is the last place I would have expected to be the setting for a book! Too Cool! It's a pretty place.
