Daughter of the Pirate King is so much fun!! I had an absolute blast reading this book. It’s a delicious, nonstop adventure full of swashbuckling and fantasy—some of my favorite things! I love pirate culture, and I adored the protagonist—Alosa is a badass pirate who is sassy, fierce, and full of attitude. I love that this story starts with a quote from Pirates of the Carribean! I knew I was destined to like it!

Alosa is sent by her father, the Pirate King, to find a map to the treasure of the Sirens. She ends up getting kidnapped (on purpose) by Draxen and his younger brother Riden, who have a piece of the map. She searches and searches to find the map. Then she realizes she has to use her "specialness" to keep herself safe. She starts to wonder if her heart lies in doing what her mean father want
