*No Spoilers* This is basically Harry Potter written by less talented writers. That being said it is a perfectly fun adventure book age appropriate for the preteen market it seems to be aiming at. The similarities to Potter were really distracting at the beginning, but after a few chapters you get used to them. This was cute. I liked the premise and I'm always a sucker for a magic school and the chosen one trope. But.. I kinda wanted something else. There was a lot of potential and while it was interesting and kept me reading, something felt missing.
