I don't really know what I thought going into this. I guess I knew it was pretty popular, and it was about a society where love was 'cured' and that the main character was bound to rise up and fight the system, but I didn't really have any other expectations. And I think that perhaps that was best.

This book had moves that reminded me of Logan's Run and I thoroughly enjoyed the premise. The characters were vivid and the plot moved. I am anxious to continue the series. I am not going to spoil the book for you. Read and find out why it is a great dystopian novel. If you loved Matched, Hunger Games, or other young adult dystopian journeys, you will appreciate what Lauren Oliver has accomplished here.

Wow. This book gave me the amor deliria nervosa. :D It kept me up till 10:40 pm. I really enjoyed it. Although I think that some of the traits of the new US and Dystopian society should have been better explained. Like the raids. Some parts were very long in memories or description that I did skim but overall it was great. There was some content that decreased my rating. The characters were good though and I liked Alex :D And Hana of course. Gotta love the character w/ur name. This book is re ...more

Okay, the first half had me scratching my head a bit, it seemed a bit overly done or something. But the second half had me holding my breath and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough! In the end, this is a book that despite having a familiar dystopian storyline, will have me thinking about it for a long time after reading.
