The story is written through the view of a young girl. It tells the story of childhood, racism, intolerance, multi faced society etc in the early twentieth century. The love of the father for his two kids is very touching and it moved me at times.

Atticius Finch is the father , a lawyer appointed to defend a black man charged with rape and he is a person with such honesty, integrity that it left me spell bound at times.

This is the first time I've read this book and enjoyed it. It was set in a small town in Alabama. It's about a lawyer defending a black man of raping a white girl. It takes you on a journey with the two children trying to find out more about their neighbor Boo Radley. It depicts a story about history of racism and prejudice.
