I am rereading this book for my book club meeting 12/27/15
I listened to the audiobook narrated by Sissy Spacek. I had forgotten so much is the year or so since I read this. The audiobook is an excellent choice as Spacek is perfect!
This is an American classic that I just read for the first time. I have seen the film (probably more than once) and the film is very faithful to the book. The film gave me a visual version that played in my head as I read, which added to the experience. In 1935 rural A ...more

This is the first time I've read this book and enjoyed it. It was set in a small town in Alabama. It's about a lawyer defending a black man of raping a white girl. It takes you on a journey with the two children trying to find out more about their neighbor Boo Radley. It depicts a story about history of racism and prejudice.
