Read for bookclub -- I've read this before and found it overrated. Not so this time. Once I got beyond the looooong set up of the characters and location and the story gained momentum I loved it. Still an important story and deserving of the label "classic."

This is now my 2nd favorite book next to "Jane Eyre".
I loved every minute of this book.
Harper Lee wrote such a touching portrayal of so many difference characters.
Of course, there is Scout. She's the greatest. I really loved her spunk and her thoughfulness. Then, Jem....what a great kid and brother.
Atticus was such a noble character. Along with the strength of even a secondary character such as Calpurnia you can tell that Harper Lee put her heart and soul into this novel.

This is easily one of the best book ever. It tells such a great story of human relationships and excepting differences.It is told from the view of a young girl in the 1930's. Very good quick read.
