Obviously, there is little to review about one of America's most renowned and read books.
My only problem was that I didn't get anime bulging, starry-eyed gushing about this book. It was good, it was interesting. Taken in context for the time that it was written in and by whom it was written, it is an undeniably wonderful book.

I'm so glad that we read this book for book club. I've been wanting to read it again for years, but always found another book to pick up instead! I found that in the end, I had remembered a rough outline of the characters and storyline, but having been 20 years since reading it the first time, it was really like reading a new book, not one I've read before.

Loved this book! This was one of my mother's favorites (including the movie) so when we studied it in high school I was already very familiar with all the symbolism. Thanks mom!
