This was a reread for me, but the first time I've listened to it and I think Sissy Spacek is perfect for this reading. It's been a while since I last read this book, so certain details were lost until I was reminded in this reading of the book. I still love this book, even after all these years. read it for class. didnt really like the style of writing, im personally, one to linger on the details and couldnt really connect with the characters. so, while i realize this book is a classic because it's very well written i didnt enjoy reading it.

I surprised myself by enjoying this very much. The movie was excellent too.
I remember reading this in HS, but forgot the details. I am so glad I did.
This is an incredible story and a true classic for all to read.
