This was a reread for me, but the first time I've listened to it and I think Sissy Spacek is perfect for this reading. It's been a while since I last read this book, so certain details were lost until I was reminded in this reading of the book. I still love this book, even after all these years. As much as I want to say that things have changed a lot (and some things HAVE changed), there are still too many real life examples in this country of injustice happening to marginalized peoples, whether ...more
