I cannot believe that it took me three years after buying this book to actually read it! I was thoroughly charmed by the story of Sophie all the way through. From meeting Howl himself (a most unlikely looking evil Wizard) to achieving the required happy ending, the book kept up the pace. The author (I confess, this is the first of her books I have read) has a gentle sense of humor that was never mean. I'm picky about fantasy, especially if aimed at younger readers.
