A really enjoyable read! I'm a great fan of young adult dystopian novels, and Red Queen is no exception. Unfortunately, that means comparisons must be made. I think Red Queen stands fairly well as its own book, but it does use many of the common tropes of today's dystopian novels. I don't think it's as strong as Hunger Games, but it is better than Divergent.

Red Queen was very predictable. It was easy to see what was going to happen. The names were ridiculous too, but that's to be expected in YA novels lately. Even though the book didn't surprise me at all I did enjoy it. I found myself staying up late to finish it.
