50% done. Jim Butcher fans will not be disappointed, as usual it's really hard to put this down. Sad thing with these books is I anticipate the book ending and dwell upon how will I ever wait until the next one!

A strange thing happened on the way...I don't remember Butcher's author photo on the book jacket in previous books. The picture on this jacket somehow stuck him in the story. Maybe he's Good Bob. Or Uriel. Ghost Story was the most fun to read in the Dresden series. I liked the movie unquotes, the wily inclusion of iconic story heroes, one of whom now is Harry Dresden. Everybody's grown and grown up and all are jaw-clenched evil eradicators. I liked Fitz and Aristedes and Zero. The Rag Lady. Mort

Still love this series but this one seemed a little off. Not as bad as the last one. Hopefully the next one will live up to it's potential.

Ok, he got me. I've been thoroughly gotten. No, the previous book didn't end on a cliffhanger; it ended precisely the way it said. Now this is the aftermath of that huge thing and it was super fun. I was a tad bit confused throughout--found it hard to follow some of the new mythology and twists, but I enjoyed the ride. The end of this one, at least, was a bit predictable but had a nice little twist at the same time. Looking forward to the next one!

This was a really good story, but it didn't feel like Harry Dresden. I missed Harry's larger than life power and big, boomy spellcasting. This one, due to circumstances, was more of a mental exercise. I guess I'm mostly just happy that Harry's not dead...
