What Members Thought

When I started this one I became mildly interested very quickly and thought, "yeah this will be a good 4 star read". Before long however I was very involved and reading it in preference to other library books. I will be watching for a follow up to this book.
Who is Pilgrim? Even he isn't that sure anymore. There are levels of secrecy in black-ops and he's been in the deepest, darkest part of that world. He's had so many names and identities they run together and one seems about as good as another ...more

I thought this book was great! So I was very surprised when I saw some of the reviews of this book and how some people just hated it. I will admit that there was a lot of detail and back story and that made for a long book. It may not be non stop action but overall the story was so interesting. (The beginning did take a while to get going tho'.) It starts off with a murder scene in New York, which brings in our Pilgrim character and then it goes into the story of a young boy in Saudi Arabia who

This book is large, and not just because I got the large print from our library. The story itself is massive! This is a thriller that is of a type that has been popping up a lot lately. Retired gov. operative gets hooked back into action. But what Hayes has done has taken this novel to the next level. He really gets into the hearts and minds of his characters while taking the reader all over the world hunting for the worst kind of terrorist imaginable. Oh yeah, and throws in a murder mystery tha
