3,5 stars- for the psychological study and interesting setting.
This is not the very best of Agatha Christie/ Poirot story, although it checks all of the elements: interesting setting (city of Petra!), intriguing characters (weird family from America, a crazy matriarch!), and of course, an unexpected twist!

I enjoy certain parts of the story, and how the family members kind of stood by each other. Other than that, quite a standard Agatha Christie story.
I just listened to this on an audiobook and having read it and 'seen the movie', I still think this is one of Agatha Christie's great plots. Its the person you're least likely to suspect and I love the romance too. I just love Agatha Christie's opinions!
