I bought this book, because I read a review that it was supposed to be very funny - it wasn't. It's about the misadventures of a guy named Jim, but the author was never able to make me care about this character.

As advertised in the information given with this book, classically British including the humor.
2.5 stars. Relentlessly dark humour that became grating after a while. The characters were so realistically pathetic it reminded me of a rather good UK movie I'd seen on the plane titled 'Another Year'.

This was ok. Some very funny parts. Probably would have liked this better if I was born in England.
