I bought this book, because I read a review that it was supposed to be very funny - it wasn't. It's about the misadventures of a guy named Jim, but the author was never able to make me care about this character. ...more

2.5 stars. Relentlessly dark humour that became grating after a while. The characters were so realistically pathetic it reminded me of a rather good UK movie I'd seen on the plane titled 'Another Year'. ...more
