Tom Sanders is an executive at Digicom a tech company that is planning a merger. A former girlfriend, Meredith, is hired as his boss and he ends up accusing her of sexual harrassment. The plot also involves a technology part involving problems with a computer drive Digicom manufactures. The sexual harrassment story was fine. The fact that the story was written awhile ago and the technology is very outdated by todays standards really pulled me out of the book.

When Crichton wrote this book, the sexual harassment laws were only about a year old. It's a great story about how people can attempt to use the law to gain power at the workplace and how a woman scorned shouldn't be messed with. The book was ahead of this time, and the movie, although it follows the book, fails to do the book justice. This book is a quick, fun read.
