I have taken a nice long break from reading while I compose my own literature. Getting back into things I was somewhat disappointed in this new Harry Dresden adventure. His recipe is becoming quite predictable: Resume damsel in distress, fight off a vampire, discover some new ability, piss of the good guys and the bad guys. It would appear to me that this book nothing to develop the character or the extended plot that lays between the novels.
