I am a Jim Butcher addict. Go Harry Dresden!
Harry is quite brutalized in this novel, however the storyline also offers a spark of hope. Things don't go Harry's way, but he has friends and makes friends. Camaraderie against the dark side, no matter that the world he lives in is many shades of grey.
There is an absolute sneaky brilliant twist at the end.
I admire Butcher's ability to create such a likeable character that he then proceeds to put through the evil meat grinder. ...more
