I first read these in internal chronological order, and when I got to this one I was disappointed in the switch in protagonists from Cordelia to Miles - the story felt a bit juvenile. I persevered, and Miles grew on me, as he does most people.

Ah, I really enjoy this series, I like Miles Vorkosigan a lot. I am happy that I read Cordelia's honor first, it really gives a nice background on Miles as well as all the other characters.
While this may not be high-end lit, I have to say it seems to me, to be high end space opera, lol if there is such a catagory. It is a guilty pleasure to read, pure escapism at its best. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book to see what happens to Miles next.

Excellent! I've read this book once before and absolutely loved it. Good writing, good pace, enjoyable characters.
