This was nothing like the typical sci-fi that I read. There was hardly any science in this fiction. They conduct some kind of operation on the protagonist that makes him extremely intelligent and annoying. I liked the book until that point. Once he was intelligent, he started acting like a douche-bag and I found the story pretty boring with him thinking about his past life. It got so emotional and story just wasn't progressing.
