Such a boring book. I give up on this author and the series for now. This is supposed to be light scifi. It hardly felt like sci-fi to me. It's neither fun and heartwarming like A Long way to a small, angry planet, nor is it action focused or plot driven.
It is supposed to be character focused but I didn't even care for the main character Miles. There is zero action and only conversations with Miles trying to act smart all the time. There is just one female character who hardly does or say ...more

Another entry in the Vorkosigan saga. Includes so much of what I have enjoyed about this series, but this just missed me a little in the way that others have not so far. I found parts of the plot to be a bit abstruse, with repeated references to minor points I hadn’t fully grasped.
Nevertheless I had lots of fun with the hijinks of Miles, replete with witty dialogue.
