somewhat divided on this one- really enjoyed it, but the whole time through it felt like something was missing - still can't quite put my finger on it. It's like something was oversimplified but I'm not sure exactly what it was, unless it really was everything, but I'm not yet ready to bring down the gavel on that - characters, politics, both could definitely have used some real fleshing out somehow. Leviathan Wakes is written by two authors, Daniel Abraham and Ty Frank, who combined with the intent of creating a single super-author possessing the powers of each individual. Picked this on the basis of good reviews, but I'm finding the characters stock and the plot formulaic. I may return later to see if the ending changes my mind, but for now, ho hum, time for a better book.
