I didn't like the start of this book much - but shortly after the main characters meet, and once they start telling their stories I started to enjoy it. The stories were great and kept me well entertained all the way through.
The end is more or less completely open - so you should go right ahead to book two if you want some closure.
1* missing because I didn't like the last story very much - it felt kind of disjointed to me. Also I could so have done without the (luckily few) sex scenes. ...more

I love the other three books in the series just fine, but I cannot stand books with the format of separate stories set in the same universe that never connects with each other. Its one of the major reasons I dislike World War Z. The only one that worked is Wild Cards. For Wild Cards it felt more like reading history.
