This is my fourth time reading this novel, but it's my first time reading it purely for myself (aka not school). So, yes, obviously I am hopelessly in love with Virginia Woolf. ...more

Audiobook.

Clarissa Dalloway is having a party and is caught up in the last minute details. She believes herself to be a wonderful hostess. The story follows people through a regular day. The ending read just like a regular page, but I think that was intentional.

The writing is very vivid and descriptive - I loved hearing her describe someone as “bookish”. This was my first Woolf novel, now which one should I read next?
