Almost intensely poetic. Wolf employs the whole stream of consciousness idea and takes it to a new level in which you enter and move through different character's minds quite fluidly. The characters were meticulously developed and gave a great perspective of the English aristocrats' inner minds at that time. Now I just need to watch "The Hours." ...more

Was finally able to read this book. I do not really understand what the hype is with Virginia Woolf and her books. This is the fourth book I have read by her and all of them have been hard to read and or understand. At least for me they have.
