I was originally in want of reading Sherlock, after first having read 'The lost World' by Arthur Conan Doyle -
Sherlock Holmes is certainly a peculiar fellow, and the more adventures I read, the more I can see the likeness to Professor Challenger which many had noted in their review of 'The lost World'.
