Shelves: urban-fantasy

I enjoyed this book! It was fun to read about an angel and a demon that were really both on the same side (they didn't want the earth to end). And the impact of prophecy and knowing the future was played around with, and human nature (if left alone by heaven and hell) was explored. It was a fun world, an exciting (near-) apocalypse, and all in all a delightful tale! I look forward to discussing it with my book group. ...more

I'm disappointed in this book. I shelved it back in 2012, and finally got around to it in 2018. One of the reading challenges I'm participating in had a prompt for books with two authors, and I thought it was perfect!

I liked the strange friendship between the angel and demon. I was on board with the plot, and quite enjoying myself, when Adam and his friends were introduced. They are written much younger than their supposed ages, and they prattle on for pages at a time. I just couldn't get past t ...more
