This just isn't my book. It's not a bad book, but it's not one I enjoyed. The silliness annoyed me rather then amused me. There were parts I found somewhat amusing but nothing laugh out loud funny, and those parts were few and far between. I've read it, can't say I enjoyed it all that much. ...more

This should be 3.5 stars. Having read (listened to) Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency #1, I was prepared for Douglas Adams's style. However, this didn't blow me away the way I thought it would. I think it is another book that has been so hyped for so long that it couldn't help but disappoint. I was also disappointed in the abrupt ending - but again, I expect it from Adams. I will have to read the entire series to get the full story. ...more
