What Members Thought

It might have worked better as a movie or TV series for me. Nothing really new: generation ship, closed-room whodunnit, cloning tech and relevant ethical debates. They were all fine, but the biggest weakness for me is characters' narratives. I was not able to invest myself in their stories because either there were not enough depth to them or that the plots/POVs were moving rather too fast and thus disorienting.

Rating: 3.75 stars

4.5 stars. This was great fun - a locked room mystery set on a spaceship populated by clones. Not only are you trying to figure out whodunit, but you’re walked through all the fascinating moral and ethical questions and ramifications that come with cloning humans. I have some questions about some of the moral implications of decisions made toward the end, but...On the whole, this book does all the things great science fiction should!

When a crew of six clones wake up to find their previous bodies murdered on a generation ship heading to colonize a planet, they need to discover which of them did it. This sci-fi murder mystery has a number of interesting twists that keep the action moving. With alternating chapters that describe the back story of each character, this crew will either learn to trust each other or be killed again.
