What Members Thought
I enjoyed the beginning and the middle, until suddenly I didn't, and it turned more into a chore to finish reading (listening) before book club. No fault of the reader who did a great job with the different voices, but it was in first person and once it got into the politics of saving the earth I just did not feel for the character anymore. SF nerd and computer hacker gets uploaded into an interstellar reconnaissance rocket, including a 3d printer for replicating himself into a Von Neumann probe

A fun and entertaining story that reminds me of The Martian in it's mix of sarcasm and science. I have been bogged down in Fall, or Dodge in Hell, which has a similar underlying theme, and this was so much more readable. I'm off to get the second in the series so I can keep going.

I liked this better than I thought I would. Some stories we're more interesting than others, though.
