I really enjoyed the pacing of this book because it's so different from most of the science fiction that I normally read. With most science fiction, it seems like you have a pretty clear picture of the fictional universe by at least the midway point. Three Body Problem, on the other hand, plays out more like a slow-burn thriller, as the reader doesn't see the full picture until the last chapter or two.
