I feel like this book presented a lot of new problems without really solving any, and generally just kind of left me feeling left in the dark (possibly the point of it, but still unpleasant overall). All in all this just... well, wasn't the best in the series at all. I like that future Mac was diluted once more in comparison to the first book (with exception of the prologue), but I feel like I have more questions than I had going in (I guess that really bugs me since I'm mentioning it again). The walls are down. The unseely are here. MacKayla has been captured. Saving the world no longer seems to be an option. I guess I will have to read more of this series to find out.
Ended on a cliffhanger, not a good stand alone story. I think this series needs to be read together and as a group. Sunny Mac is still doubting and trying to figure out Barrons, using V'Lane and gathering information. The shades are getting stronger, the dark zones bigger and Halloween is coming.
