This series is consistently high quality. This book was really great. And I don't know if it's because I listened to it as an audiobook and it's a form like created for this book, or if it's just an exceptionally good book in this series, but I really enjoyed it a lot.

These books just get better and better and yet sadder and sadder. Harry Dresden is his usual understated but snarky rockstar self, who makes me cry every time. The story really progresses (especially compared to the last book) and I never finish a book without wanting to immediately start the next. But I don't let myself, because there aren't many series as good as this one, and I like to savour them.

Too soon..I just can't right now. Those last twists and turns really threw me for a loop. I need to think about this one. My 2nd favorite book by far, but one of the most heartbreaking ones.
