Professional Bio:
Katie Adee is a Pacific Northwest author who studied writing at Mt. Hood Community College and Marylhurst University, where she received her BA in English Literature and Writing. After realizing writing for a newspaper wasn’t her style, she decided to pen novels. “Waking the Guardian” is her debut novel, inspired by the real life stories recorded in “Not for sale: the return of the global slave trade—and how we can fight it” by David B. Batstone and “The Road of Lost Innocence” by Somaly Mam.

Personal Bio:
I am tremendously glad to have been born in our 1984, not Orwell's, although I did enjoy the book. A few years after that, my parents moved from California to Oregon, and it was sometime after that that I have my first writ

A strong...moisture laden front will move across the valley late this afternoon through tonight bringing hea Read more of this blog post »

Congressman Efrem Walters, out of the hills of Tennessee by way of the Yale Law Review, was not to be dismissed with facile circumlocution that dealt with the esoterica of clandestine manipulations. Bullshit was out.”

Katie Adee Enjoyed a most wonderful Saturday with my cousin who is on leave (he's in the Air Force). We played 36 holes of putt-putt golf, during which I acquired a patch of lobster flesh from the sun. Afterward, we went to a restaurant called Beaches with my boyfriend. As it is located along the river, we then took a fabulous, lazy walk and shared friendly conversation. Truly, I wish more weekends could be so packed yet laid back.
