Wow! Such an amazing read! A true classic in the Murder Mystery Genre. Agatha Christie loved this plot: 10 strangers on an island, lured by U. N. Owen (Unknown), are going to be killed for taking the life of another. Not only are they going to die, they are going to die exactly as the nursery rhyme:

Fascinating, diabolical, clever, and very suspenseful mystery by Christie--one of her best. This is actually 10 murders, all creepily matched to the Ten Little Indians nursery rhyme and all taking place on an island in a storm in a very gothic fashion. It's the classic locked room mystery, but to the 10th degree! As each person is killed in a suspicious manner, then the suspense grows among the remaining people. There's a reason that Agatha Christie is regarded as the Queen of Crime, and this is a prime example! The suspense starts at page one, and it never lets up. Throughout the novel, I found myself adjusting my theories and guesses of who the murderer was, and I wasn't even close to close!

I loved the integration of the poem into the murders, it was just enough to give a clue as to how the next murder would happen, but nothing more. The novel never gets predictable, it kept me on my toes all the way

This is classic Christie, but without either of her two famous protagonists. I must've read this before or seen a dramatized version, but it was so long ago that I remembered nothing. I had to read carefully to keep track of who each character was, and I was totally surprised at the ending. After all, it seemed impossible for all of these things to be happening in the situation Christie had set up.
