The cover of my copy of this book claims Christie is "the queen of mystery." Queen, indeed! Why have I waited so long to get around to AC?! And Then There Were None is a masterful murder mystery full of suspense and intrigue. I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this quick read. I'll definitely be adding more of AC's works to my tbr, beginning with Murder on the Orient Express.

Wow! Such an amazing read! A true classic in the Murder Mystery Genre. Agatha Christie loved this plot: 10 strangers on an island, lured by U. N. Owen (Unknown), are going to be killed for taking the life of another. Not only are they going to die, they are going to die exactly as the nursery rhyme:
Ten Little Soldiers
Ten Little Soldier Boys went out to dine, one choked his little self and then there were nine.
Nine Little Soldier Boys stayed up very late; One overslept himself and then there we ...more

Because each of them is guilty of his/her own wrongdoing, they are easily susceptibl

There's a reason that Agatha Christie is regarded as the Queen of Crime, and this is a prime example! The suspense starts at page one, and it never lets up. Throughout the novel, I found myself adjusting my theories and guesses of who the murderer was, and I wasn't even close to close!
I loved the integration of the poem into the murders, it was just enough to give a clue as to how the next murder would happen, but nothing more. The novel never gets predictable, it kept me on my toes all the way ...more

Took forever for me to get into this book but I finally made it. It was okay, nothing exciting to me. I guess I can see the appeal of the book for what it was in its time but it really wasn't suspenseful or surprising or anything like that to me.

This is classic Christie, but without either of her two famous protagonists. I must've read this before or seen a dramatized version, but it was so long ago that I remembered nothing. I had to read carefully to keep track of who each character was, and I was totally surprised at the ending. After all, it seemed impossible for all of these things to be happening in the situation Christie had set up. And even after the last section, I kept replaying past scenes in my head, to decide whether I thou
