Thank you Casey McQuiston for taking me to an alternate universe where Trump is not elected and instead we have a female president - a Democrat- whose son is the very hot Alex Claremont-Diaz. In this universe, love wins and hate is OUT. So refreshing and full of hope. This cute romcom had me giggling and smiling on every page. I am so glad I made it my December BOTM.

I loved witnessing their slow revelation and the longing that occurs during new relationships. Their scenes and interactions were entertaining, comical at times and oh so good. I especially looked forward to the pages that include

I enjoyed this book! I fell in love with all the characters, appreciated the gay and bisexual representation and there were so many swoon worthy scenes. I understand why this book is so hyped in the book community. However, I found the story to drag in some places and I wish Alex and Henry were enemies for a bit longer before they developed their friendship/relationship.

I heard the fuss over this book and it is SO worth it. It's a heartwrenching "how will it ever work out?" enemies-to-lovers romance within a charming and often tongue-in-cheek alternate timeline, with sensitively handled issues of sexuality, race, and responsibility, great side characters, and a good dose of humour.
