I was scared to pick this one up, there was so much hype for it and I really had no clue about the storyline or what I was letting myself into. The pictures were really interesting and the way the story is told works, however sometimes the photos annoyed me, I wanted to be let to imagine the god dam characters myself. The other thing that stopped me giving this higher rating was the fact that some if it was confusing whereas other bits where so obvious. Then again I'm guessing this is suited for ...more
A little bit of a love story, a little bit of a war story, a little bit of a sci-fi story, and a little bit of a time travel story all wrapped up together and fit nicely into a wonderful puzzle with an ending that leaves me to believe we haven't heard the last of the peculiars!

I don't really know how I feel about this book. It was entertaining and a quick read. It kept my attention and the story line was fun. I was pleasantly surprised with the pictures which provided a great visual. On the other hand, the writing was cheesy and the characters underdeveloped. I expected to like it more than what I actually did, yet it is still worth four stars just for the fun of it.
