I read this years ago and have seen multiple movie and tv versions of the book. I'm rereading all of Agatha's mysteries so went ahead and read this even though I recalled the plot very well. I decided since I knew the twist and who the killer was, that I'd focus on looking for clues in order to see if it was possible for a reader to guess based on the information available.

There is something about Christie that doesn't work for me. This is the fourth or fifth book by her that I have read, and I always leave the book feeling a bit disappointed. I find the books a bit dull and unsurprising. They don't have the same charm as Conan Doyle's Holmes series. They aren't intricate or shocking like some modern mystery works. I am not certain what I am missing.
