What Members Thought
I generally like Wells, but he is yet to wow me. Unfortunately this novel did nothing to convert me into a fan. I really disliked Griffin as a min character. While I understand that he was supposed to be a vile and misguided person, it was really hard to stick around him for so long. On the other hand, Well proved yet again how much of a scientific visionary he was during his lifetime, so I'm giving The Invisible Man an extra star.

I really loved this book! The only reason that I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that I would have liked to have learned more about the "invisible man" himself. There was a brief history, but it was only 2 or 3 pages. I wanted to learn more about his personal life and find out if it was the invisibility that was driving him mad or just his personality - because he didn't seem to stable to begin with...

I would probably give this book a 3.5 but since that isn't possible, I rounded up. I enjoyed this book and thought it to have many thought invoking ideas. The creativity and thought put into what it would be like to become invisible is great and it really made me think. I may have given this a higher rating if I had read it back in the day when it came out. Knowing the story over the years without having read the book has ruined it a little for me.
