What's in a name? When one is named Isolde Ophelia Goodnight, one is expected to live up to her literary namesakes and be tragically beautiful. Alas for poor Izzy, who has the tragic life but not the beauty. What happens, then, when your father names a much-beloved fictional character after you? Bumped up my review from 4 to 5 stars because upon a second reading and listening to the audio, I enjoyed the humor and sparkling wit of Ms Tessa Dare even more! Such an enjoyable read!

This is my kind of historical! I enjoyed this one a lot, it was fun, sweet, sexy and romantic. The heroine was adorable, dreamer, and spirited, the hero was grumpy, blind somewhat reclusive. I found the humor and banter cute and amusing, it just draws you into the the story. Tessa Dare has such a engaging writing style too its hard not be drawn.

This was such a good book. I loved that there was no huge misunderstanding, although that's pretty typical of Dare's books. Her characters actually talk to each other. Shocking, I know!!;) There was also her typical humor which is one of the main reasons I keep grabbing her books. Well....and there are those great, steamy scenes as well. I can't classify this one as good as her first Spindle Cove book, but I enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to the next one!!

Tessa for me has become as entertaining as Julia Quinn in any of her books or Linda Howard's "Drop Dead Gorgeous" and "To Die For". I find myself laughing a lot and being thoroughly entertained. I am really looking forward to her next book!
