4.00 stars Historical Victorian Romance!
Loved the story and the plot with engaging characters! The hero is definitely a delicious gift from the author to her readers while the heroine is a sweet desert with a tad bit of salt! With the enchanching fairy talesque set up thrown in some mysterious castle, accompanied by toe curling foreplay of the leads all coalesced in the beautifully written plot, I recommend this to all the historical romance loving readers!

Is "release the ermine!" the new "Tallyho!/You're cracked"? I sure hope so! This was a wonderful start to her new series.
So many delightful elements:
*The crazed Moranglians (now I know how J.K. Rowling must feel at times. Should I meet her, I will make a point not to wear any of my Potter gear.)
*A hero who is disabled, but not cowed by it
*A heroine who doesn't take any guff, but is also honest with her emotions towards Ransom
*Great secondary characters
One knitpick: what was up with the skeleton ...more

This book was really good! I was reading some different types of romance novels lately, just to try something new, but oh, man, was it nice to get back into my old genre again. This book was fabulous. I can't make up my mind, but I honestly think it might be the best one I have read by her yet. The characters were just so interesting, the main ones and the peripheral ones, too. I would say, everyone and everything about this book was very vibrant and interesting. There was even a twist at the en

I loved the characters. I rolled my eyes a little at the beginning because it seemed soooo super soap opera-ish, but I enjoyed it by the end.
