I had high expectations for this book even before I started reading it due to its brilliant debut. I wasn't the least bit disappointed with The Iron Daughter. It was as good as The Iron King, if not better. They story has a powerful and thrilling plot which brings readers on a journey to retrieve the Scepter of Seasons which was stolen by a new kind of Faery called The Iron Fey.

If you loved The Iron King, you are going to LOVE The Iron Daughter!! Mrs. Kagawa once again takes us into the world she created, leaves us on the edge of our seats and wanting more. This is becoming one of my favorite YA series, and I'm looking foward to starting the next book, The Iron Queen, asap! 5 stars!
Meghan was still her strong and determined self in this book, although she seemed a bit more emotional this time around. (Who wouldn't, after all she's been through.) I was glad to see Puck ...more

Things just couldn't get any worse for Megan Chase. She just wanted her brother back from the Iron faes that took him, and now she found herself willingly coming to the Winter Court, the sworn enemies of her father's Summer Court. After barely surviving their encounter with the Iron King, no one would believe either her or Ash of the existence of the Iron faeries which leave her suspicious in the eyes of Queen Mab. And to add to her list of worries is Ash who appears to have ...more

Meghan Chase took on the Iron King and lived to tell about it. Now she just wants to go home and move on with her life...but I don't think that's what's going to happen unfortunately. Even worse, she's been having a terrible time accessing her powers lately. With Winter and Summer about to erupt into war where will Meghan end up?
My thoughts: I LOVED THIS ONE! Book 2 was SO much better than 1 for me, which doesn't happen all that often does it!? Usually it's book 1 that is better then book 2, but ...more

So, I'm really giving this book 4.5 stars. It was THIS close to getting 5, but the Puck fan in me couldn't quite do it. I liked this book better than the first. It kept me up all night, because I couldn't put it down! I love this world & all of its interesting characters.
I have a couple of issues regarding what I thought were pretty big story lines & their outcomes *see Ironhorse's "it was an honor...my queen" & the fact that a major Iron fae war has yet to be waged, BUT I suppose that has to b ...more

“Love & Betrayal. A Faery World Gone Mad.” Once again, I love these covers. The font, the swirls. Awesome.
I really admire how Megan follows through with her word. She has a pretty good moral compass and she will do something if she thinks that it is right...even if she doesn’t necessarily want to do it. She’s also coming into her powers, which is always fun to read.
