I really liked this book. It was interesting. It had action and a bit of mystery. Evie was a bit of a change from the "normal" paranormal heroine. She was upbeat and she was sort of a girlie-girl. I liked that about her. I'm still wandering about what type of paranormal she actually is though. But I'm looking forward to Supernaturally! ...more

First impressions: I have to admit that with the number of people hoisting accolades upon Evie, I didn't want to like her. Or this book. Evie is like the super-popular girl at your new school that everyone says is so nice, but you don't believe them because anyone that popular, and pretty, and cool, cannot possibly also be nice.

But I can admit when I'm wrong. Evie is amazing.

Lasting impressions: The plot may be forgettable, but Evie and Reth and Lend are not. Or Lish. Or Raquel. Or David. Let' ...more

4.75 stars. I really enjoyed this book. Exciting and sweet premise: teen paranormal hunter working for a government agency and falling for a paranormal boy. Tired of brooding and dark YA paranormal books, this is a refreshing change with likeable, interesting, upbeat characters. Not the best writing, but fun and fresh. Amusing, sad and sweet.

I think my rating is so high, because it is exactly what I felt like reading at the time.

An entertaining YA UF, good action, fun humor, wee bit of romance. It's sweetly funny. The author seems to have a good handle on young love and snark.
Evie thinks of herself as normal a teen as can be other than the fact that she doesn't go to high school and, oh yeah, she bags and tags paranormal entities for her company. What she wouldn't give to meet a boy and have a locker of her own.
She meets a boy and he shows her a for real locker for the first time.
Now if she can get away from the fae ...more
