I tried to read this book about a year ago and couldn't do it. I made it ~180 pages in and put it down for a good long while. Then my brother started to get on my case and wouldn't drop it until I finally picked it back up again.

It took me a long time to finally get around to reading this -- I started it first a couple years back on kindle and got to a certain point before my attentions and time were taken by other things and shorter books were more satisfying since I could actually reach an end in a day or two.

Audiobook Review
I heard a lot of good things about Roy Dotrice's narration, but I felt it was kind of an average. He has the gritty voice and British accent that work well for a medieval fantasy, but I felt that a lot of his voices were overdramatized. The best thing I can say about his narration is that I could comfortably listen to it at 1.90x speed and cut my listening time almost in half. The narration was good enough that I will continue to listen to the series in audiobook, but I won't hun ...more
